One of the goals of the Burlington American Board of Directors is to encourage participation in Little League Baseball through volunteer support. We are a 100% volunteer-led organization and our league could not run without the support of our amazing little league families.

Please note there are many ways you can volunteer with our league. The time is minimal, the enjoyment is long lasting, and we need the help in order to continue providing such a positive experience for players and families alike.

Positions at the team level include:

• Manager, Coach, Game/Field Prep, Scorekeeper (Majors/Minors), coaches and team parents (Coach Pitch and Tee Ball) Please note you can sign up to volunteer at the team level in the registration process!!

Positions around the League

• Special events such as Opening Day, Snack Shack, Fan Gear, Sponsorships, and many more. 

Additionally, we are always looking for umpires both at the Majors and Minors divisions. If you have good general knowledge of the rules of baseball, we would love to have you help either behind the plate or as a field ump.

PLEASE NOTE- per Little League International regulations and for the safety of our children, all volunteer workers are subject to a mandatory confidential criminal background check. 

To Volunteer

-          Login into your account Burlington American account

-          Click on My Account

-          Click on Volunteer

-          Click on Find Volunteer Opportunities

-          Click on View Divisions

-          Select the division you would like to volunteer for

-          Select the Role you would like to volunteer for

-          Sign up using your registered account or as a new user

-          Click on continue

-          Complete the questionnaire

o   Make sure this information matches your Government ID

o   You will be required to upload your Government ID

o   Include any training certifications

-          View and Accept the Little League Volunteer Application

-          Click Continue

-          You will be required to submit a JDP background check at no cost to you.

o   A link will be sent your email with a link to the JDP Background Check

-          Complete the background Check

-          You will be notified once your background check clears.

-          Communication will be sent out from Burlington American about the Volunteer responsibilities that you have chosen to participate in.
